Mr. Rutan previously taught for four years at Peace Lutheran in Bremerton. Before that he was military police at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

Mr. Rutan has been married for three years and has a very cute one year old girl! In his spare time, he enjoys playing board games, watching baseball, running, and going to museums
